Suggested Speech Topics

Participants can select from the following wide range of themes for their speeches in either English or Urdu. The speech title must be relevant to the chosen theme.
For example, if you choose the theme “Climate Change and Its Impact,” your speech title could be “How Climate Change is Shaping Our Future.”
In Urdu, if you choose the theme “Child Labour,” a suitable title might be “بچے بوجھ نہیں کتابیں چاہتے ہیں.”

Note: The themes listed are provided for guidance. You are welcome to choose a different theme as long as it is motivational and adheres to the contest rules. Avoid themes that include hateful, political, religious, or highly personalized content.


Contest Rules

Eligibility:

Participants may choose to compete in English, Urdu, or both languages.

Open to all schools across Pakistan and individual participants.

Rules / Submission Guidelines:

  • Participants should wear formal attire or their school/college uniform during the video recording.
  • In English: Address the speech to Respected Judges, Teachers, and Audience or simply Dear Audience.
  • In Urdu: Address the speech to: قابلِ احترام منصفین، محترم اساتذہ اور معزز سامعین و ناظرین یا صرف معزز سامعین و ناظرین
  • Speeches must be submitted in video format via a shareable cloud link, WhatsApp, USB by courier, or email.
  • The name of the student, class, school, and contest name should be clearly stated at the beginning of the video.
  • Each video must include the participant’s name, school, and city, either in the video itself or as a title screen.
  • Each speech should be between 2 to 3 minutes in length, with a flexibility of 30 seconds more or less.
  • Videos will not be shared on any social media platforms without the prior consent or permission of the school or participant.
  • Entries already uploaded on any social media will not be accepted.
  • Each video must clearly display the participant’s name, school, and city. This information can be included directly in the video, on a title screen, or by renaming the video file for easy identification by reviewers and judges.
  • List Preparation: Download the soft copy of the submission list from the Download page on our website or Click here to Download.
  • Ensure that all details are listed carefully and accurately.
  • Send the soft copy of the list to artviewsion@gmail.com along with proof of fee payment.
  • Deadline for submission: January 30, 2025.

Content Guidelines:

  • Speeches must relate to the provided topics.
  • Paper reading is allowed, but participants should maintain fluency and ensure a natural flow.
  • Speeches must not contain any hateful, offensive, or polarized content related to nations, religions, or political issues.
  • Pre-delivered speeches from school contests are eligible.

Judging Criteria for Speeches:

Individual Participants:

  • Content Quality: Relevance, originality, and depth of the subject matter.
  • Clarity: Organization and coherence of ideas.
  • Fluency: Smoothness and natural flow of speech delivery.
  • Engagement: Ability to capture and maintain the audience’s interest.
  • Content Relevance and Originality: Appropriateness of content to the chosen theme and originality of the ideas presented.
  • Confidence and Body Language: Assurance and non-verbal communication during the speech.
  • Use of Language: Proficiency in English or Urdu.
  • Adherence to Time Limits: Compliance with the 2 to 3-minute duration, with a flexibility of 30 seconds more or less.

Top Schools:

  • Winner and Runner-Up: The two schools with the highest cumulative scores from their participating students will be awarded as the Winner and Runner-Up.

Note: In the event of a tie, where two or more participants or schools have the same scores, the positions may be extended to include all tied entries.

Additional Information:

  • Evaluation: All speeches will be evaluated anonymously by a panel of expert judges.
  • Final Decisions: All judges’ decisions are final.

Language Options:

  • Participants may submit speeches in either English or Urdu, or both.
  • Bilingual participants can submit separate videos for each language.

Technical Requirements:

Ensure clear audio and video quality with minimal background noise.

Videos may be recorded on any device (smartphone, tablet, camera).


Participation Fee:

  • Rs. 1000 per student per category (non-refundable and non-transferable).
  • For both English and Urdu categories, the fee will be Rs. 2000 per student if participating in both.
